Tikka Guys' Team Members

At Tikka Guys, we don't have many job titles for our entry-level staff. All team members will rotate through numerous duties during the day, including dishwasher, cashier, waiter, host, cook, prep cook, and so on. If you join the team, you should expect to learn a lot and put in a lot of effort. You may establish a positive company image by providing pleasant, helpful, and efficient customer service.

Tikka Guys tries to establish the finest possible client experience in all elements of the business, including food, service, and ambience. Our team members will take satisfaction in producing and serving Tikka Guys’ delectable cuisine. We maintain a clean and well-organized work environment so that we may constantly follow proper recipes and procedures while maintaining high standards in food preparation, sanitation, teamwork, and customer service.

The following are the job descriptions for the Tikka Guys’ team members. The purpose of this job posting is to define the general requirements for performing this position. It is not a comprehensive statement of duties, responsibilities or requirements. Other responsibilities not specified above may be assigned by management.

Food Preparation, Grilling & Serving:

  • Ability to organize raw & prepped foods

  • Following recipes accurately and adhering to food preparation processes including weights and measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices

  • Food preparation includes marinating raw meats; chopping herbs; dicing, cutting, and slicing vegetables, etc.

  • Grilling meats on skewers as prescribed by the cooking instructions

  • Serving other items per the recipe and the presentation guidelines

  • Completing food preparation assignments accurately, neatly, and in a timely fashion

  • Preparing food throughout the day as needed

Sales Register:

  • Ability to work as a cashier to take customer orders accurately

  • Operating a high tech cash register along with handling cash, debit and credit cards

  • Courteous and friendly customer interaction at the cash register

  • Knowledge and promotion of products to answer customer inquiries

Customer Experience:

  •  Providing friendly, quality customer service to every Tikka Guys’ customer

  • Good working knowledge of our menu items to answer customer inquiries with integrity

  • Give every customer immediate and undivided attention

  •   Surprise and delight the customers with consistent, delicious food, and service

House Keeping:

  • Clean dishes and other restaurant utensils and equipment thoroughly and in a timely fashion according to sanitation guidelines

  • Furniture cleaning in the dining area

  • Floor and bathroom cleaning

  •  Trash disposal

  •  Cleaning equipment, as assigned

  • Other general house cleaning as required

Miscellaneous:

  • Consistently and accurately using prep sheets, Road Maps, cleanliness list, and station checklists

  • Ensure a fresh and appealing display by keeping cases and service areas clean

  •  Learn and demonstrate a complete understanding of the menu

  • Assist in ensuring a clean, safe and well-organized restaurant

  • Attention to detail in food/service quality and cleanliness

  • Display a positive and enthusiastic approach to all assignments

  • Maintain clean and professional appearance and work habits

  • Effective time management skills

  • Excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team and help others as needed

  • People oriented – ability to communicate effectively with customers and other team members

  •  Proper handling of knives and other kitchen equipment

Job Requirements for Application:

  • Must have Food Handler Card

  • High School Graduate/Equivalent (not mandatory)

  •  Stand and walk for extended periods of time

  • Bend and lift loads, not to exceed 40 pounds. Push and pull carts weighing up to 100 pounds.

  • Tolerance to environmental exposures under extreme temperatures (coolers, ovens, freezer, etc.)

  • Tolerance to cleaning chemicals, humidity, cooking odors, loud noise and occasional wet floors

  • Ability to work with restaurant equipment – dough machine, knives, pots and pans, etc.

  • Flexible work hours – variety of shifts including days, nights, weekends, holidays and special events

  •  Required to wear Tikka Guys uniform – T-shirt and caps/visors

  • Must Speak English Fluently – knowledge of other languages a plus

  • Must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this role

Tikka Guys' Shift Lead or Manager

Apply For a Shift Lead Or Manager Job:

At Tikka Guys, we are looking for a shift leader who can also contribute as a team member as necessary. You will project a positive business image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service, as well as leadership in the role of a team member. It will also be your responsibility to set up and maintain enticing displays of prepared food.

Our Team Shift leaders will take pride in ensuring that Tikka Guys food is prepared in a clean and organized work environment (according to company standards) and that the proper recipes and procedures are followed consistently, as well as adhering to high standards in food preparation, cleaning and sanitation, teamwork, and customer service. Shift leaders at Tikka Guys will work hard to ensure that our customers have the finest possible experience in every manner, including cuisine, service, and ambience.

Job Requirements for Application:

  • Must have Serve Save certification

  • Must have 3+ years of experience working at a restaurant (1+ year as a shift/lead)

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent (some college preferred)

  • Culinary school or previous culinary management experiences a plus

  • Must Speak English Fluently – bilingual or trilingual a plus
